Can I renew a reserve item?
Textbooks and class texts are often referred to as "Reserves" or "Course Reserves."
Answer
Generally, textbooks cannot be reserved. These items must come back to the owning library to be considered for renewal. The Circulation staff will review condition of the item and availability. If additional copies of the same title are available for other students, the renewal may be possible. If no additional copies are on the shelf for other students, the book would need to be returned. Reserve items are high usage items. Due to the limited number of course reserves available, they are available for short periods of time to ensure multiple students in a class can complete coursework.
